Google Wallet

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/story/2011-12-06/google-samsung-verizon/51671878/1

Google has recently come out with its new application called "Google Wallet."  This is your mobile wallet that is on your phone.  This devise lets you to download your bank accounts on your phone letting you to just scan it and pay.  Many believe that this devise is not safe do to the security and people able to just steal your phone and go crazy.

My one thing with it is the obvious being able to loose your phone and then people to use your bank accounts.  I would be more comfortable with just using a normal card since if my phone broke then i would lose my account.  It is just dumb because they have also talked about bar codes on your hand that do the same thing.  All you would have to do then is scan someones hand and then you control there life.   The technological world is gotten to complicated and it is starting to possibly harm its users.

Getting Social

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/technologylive/post/2011/12/new-york-city-gets-friendly-with-facebook/1

New York is the state that everyone knows about, where everyone wants to be, and it is the city that has to have it first.  New York is trying to become one of the biggest social media hubs is America by opening a new branch in New York.  For Facebook, this will be the first branch outside of the west coast.  New York Mayor ,Michael Bloomburg, believes that this will revolutionize the city and bring them to the top of the social media world.
My one question is, what will everyone else do?

I truly believe that New York is going to start a trend which will sweep across the nation.  They want it so now everyone else will want to have a branch in their state and so on and so forth.  This wouldn't be bad for Facebook or any other social media site at all.  They will probley try to expand even more now since they have finally reached the East coast.

Black and Blue Friday

http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/retail/story/2011-11-25/cyber-monday/51422186/1?loc=interstitialskip

Thursday was thanksgiving a day of happiness and joy to be with your family.  Friday was "Black Friday," the day where people wait till midnight to the best deals in the retail stores for their christmas list.  People are ridiculous and fight to get a certain game or a toy or this or that.  They will break peoples arms and some bring pepper spray to ward off the competition.  This is the one day that if you work at a store, that you better be sick.
I honestly find it insane that people will go to such extent to get a product.  That is why i wait till cyber monday.  Cyber monday is the black friday of the internet where people go onto all the retail store sights or on amazon and order everything that they want.  It is honestly the better choice to do because your computer isn't going to jump at you and punch you in the face.

Assassin's fail

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/story/2011-11-17/obama-assassination-attempt/51271096/1?loc=interstitialskip

A man is accused of trying to assassinate the president this week.  Oscar Ramiro Ortega attempted to kill the president as he shot across from the white house.  Agents found bullets that hit the window of the white house and began to investigate.  Agents found him and he will now be prosicuted for his crime and may have possible life in prison.
This issue brings up an old fear that Obama would soon be killed.  Many thought that at the begging of office that he would be killed and so far nothing has happened till now.  Will this one act of violence start a domino effect.

Sports today

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/nba/nba%20proposal%2011-11-2011.pdf

Sports, once the pinnacle of many men and women's lives, now it is slowly falling down the drain.  With the NBA now having an official lockout and the NFL almost having one, many sport fans fear.  With the lose of Joe Paterno, many fans are upset with the entire sport organization.
I personally believe that if things with all organization's, sports could be a thing of the past.  The NBA is at a downward spiral and the rest could follow.  People would riot and fight to get there sports back even though it is just sports.  There is other things in the world to occupy our time besides seeing a bunch of guys throwing around a ball.

Beating up the homeless

This week, one of our "What would you do" video's involved a homeless man being beat up and treated bad to.  This actually is a issue that bugs me because its cruel and mean.  Even if someone is homeless you should still treat them like the human being that they are.  You don't go punch them or kick them or call them rude and mean names because they are homeless.  People in america and everywhere who are homeless have to face this evil and difficult cruelty.  I believe that cities need to have more homeless shelters so that these people dont have to face this.  The more lives that dont have to face this, the better my conscience will feel.

NATO Bombing

On Saturday, a NATO convoy was blown up by a Taliban suicide bomber.  The bomber ran a truck with 1,540 pounds of explosives in the armored bus killing 17 people, 12 of them were american citizens.  The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.  This attack has been the worst on the U.S. since the war began 10 years ago.  The issue has been thrown back and forth on whether we should get out of the middle east now or if we should stay and fight.
I believe personally that we need to leave the middle east and not look back.  We are waisting the lives of american citizens who are trying to instal peace in a war scavenged country.  This is BEYOND unfair to us because we are just trying to help the people over there and what we get in return are coffins filled with dead americans.  I say the faster we get out of there, the faster we will be able to fix our own problems and the faster we will be able to help our actual allies.

WEEK 10 BLOG

http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/story/2011-10-23/libya-gadhafi-liberation/50879902/1

Moammar Gadhafi was the dictator of the country of Libya for over 42 years.  He was considered at terrorist  and a evil man because of his actions against his own and other countries.  On Thursday, the dictator was shot and killed in a crossfire between his guards and Libya rebels.  After he died, the citizens of the country screamed and rejoiced with excitement.  The only thing is, is it ok to be happy that someone died?
In my own opinion, no one should ever be happy that someone is dead.  It is sad that people sometimes are so happy that a life has been lost.  Yes he was a evil dictator, but at the same time he could have be taken to prison and been on trial.  Life is something that is to important that we should be happy that it is lost.
