NATO Bombing

On Saturday, a NATO convoy was blown up by a Taliban suicide bomber.  The bomber ran a truck with 1,540 pounds of explosives in the armored bus killing 17 people, 12 of them were american citizens.  The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.  This attack has been the worst on the U.S. since the war began 10 years ago.  The issue has been thrown back and forth on whether we should get out of the middle east now or if we should stay and fight.
I believe personally that we need to leave the middle east and not look back.  We are waisting the lives of american citizens who are trying to instal peace in a war scavenged country.  This is BEYOND unfair to us because we are just trying to help the people over there and what we get in return are coffins filled with dead americans.  I say the faster we get out of there, the faster we will be able to fix our own problems and the faster we will be able to help our actual allies.

WEEK 10 BLOG

http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/story/2011-10-23/libya-gadhafi-liberation/50879902/1

Moammar Gadhafi was the dictator of the country of Libya for over 42 years.  He was considered at terrorist  and a evil man because of his actions against his own and other countries.  On Thursday, the dictator was shot and killed in a crossfire between his guards and Libya rebels.  After he died, the citizens of the country screamed and rejoiced with excitement.  The only thing is, is it ok to be happy that someone died?
In my own opinion, no one should ever be happy that someone is dead.  It is sad that people sometimes are so happy that a life has been lost.  Yes he was a evil dictator, but at the same time he could have be taken to prison and been on trial.  Life is something that is to important that we should be happy that it is lost.
